Sydarkivera is looking for a Data Protection Specialist

The Municipal Federation Sydarkivera provides a connecting service as a joint data protection officer to several organizations within the federation. The service is performed by the data protection team with expertise in law, information security, IT, and archives. The data protection team maintains the function of data protection officer for the organizations that are connected to the service and with which Sydarkivera has agreements.

The overall mission of a data protection officer is to be advisory and controlling towards those for whom the data protection team acts as data protection officer. This primarily involves providing advice and support on various data protection issues, training in data protection, and monitoring compliance with data protection regulations among the connected organizations.

The data protection team is organizationally part of Sydarkivera's central administration, but our employees are located both at the headquarters in Alvesta and at our nodes. Travel for work occurs during meetings and events organized by the data protection team.

Your main responsibilities

You will actively participate in our data protection team, which includes providing advice and support on data protection issues to our connected partners, planning and conducting network meetings, training sessions, and other meetings, as well as monitoring compliance with data protection regulations among our connected partners.

Based on your knowledge and experience, you will also work on other issues that arise within the organization. As an employee at Sydarkivera, you will have a varied and developing role in a complex and diverse organization.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with an academic background in data and systems science, management, law, or equivalent qualifications that Sydarkivera deems comparable. You should have very good knowledge in the field of data protection and several years of practical experience working with data protection issues. It is important that you have experience from public sector work, as Sydarkivera's operations are focused on municipalities and regions.

We would like you to have experience in delivering training, both digitally and physically. We also prefer that you have experience or knowledge in one of the following areas:

Cybersecurity

Publicity and confidentiality issues

HR field

Municipal companies

Environment, construction, and technology

As a member of the data protection team, you need to be self-sufficient and confident in your role, but also network-oriented and responsive. We value a unified working method with common work meetings and digital check-ins. You are expected to work independently while also having a good ability to collaborate with others and communicate in a trustworthy manner. Great emphasis will be placed on personal abilities and suitability.

You will be in contact with many different organizations, so it is crucial that you can express yourself well in both speech and writing and collaborate in a professional and service-oriented manner.

Scope, duration, placement, and start date

The position is full-time and permanent. Sydarkivera applies individual salary setting. A probationary period may be applicable. Start date by agreement.

We have offices in the following locations: Alvesta, Hässleholm, Karlshamn, Katrineholm, or Vimmerby. The position will be based at one of our offices. We offer the opportunity for remote work one day a week.

We conduct interviews continuously during the recruitment phase. The person who gets the position should be a Swedish citizen and pass a security clearance class 3.
